Travel influencer Anvi Kamdar died after falling into a ravine at the Kumbh Falls in Maharashtra

A travel influencer fell to her death in a ravine while shooting a video near the Kumbh falls in Raigad’s Mangaon district on July 17, police said.

The dead body was identified as Aanvi Kamdar (26) who belonged to Mumbai. A travel influencer, Ms. Kamdar loves shooting reels.

To enjoy the rainy season, she went with her friends at the waterfalls.

While taking photos and videos of the waterfall, the deceased’s foot slipped, and she fell straight into the 350 feet deep ravine.

Sahyadri Wildlife Conservation Society and Mangaon Police officials reached the spot with rescue forces, as soon as after receiving information about the incident

Rayagada Superintendent of Police Somnath Gharge said that the woman who fell into the gorge is alive and has been rescued. But she died while receiving treatment.

Huge stones fell on us, when we tried to rescue her from the stream. At first it seemed that the woman was not alive. But after going closer, she was breathing and confirmed that she was alive. Somnath Gharge said that she was rushed to the hospital and died while undergoing treatment.

After assessing the situation, rescue operations were started.

Earlier, on June 30, around 12:30 pm, five members drowned in a waterfall near Bhushi Dam in Lonavala, Pune.

Rescue personnel recovered the dead bodies.

A senior district official said that one child died after the family drowned.

Pune District Collector Suhas Diwas asked people to be careful when going out and not to go near any waterfalls when it’s raining.

he said, I urge individuals to be responsible and not go near any waterfalls or streams. We have given advice and the management has asked us to handle any incidents. Similar incidents have happened in the last two days. Be careful and plan properly keeping in mind the weather conditions.”
